Emotiv has responded to our Inquiries

by Cerebral Cortez on Jul.02, 2009, under Anouncements

Looks like all their efforts are being focused on more important matters.  Gotta respect a company that is that concerned with Quality Assurance of their product.  I look forward to speaking with them soon.

Dear Steven,

Thank you for your enquiry and interest in the Emotiv technology.

We are currently focused on supporting the developer community at this time.  We are getting closer to the consumer product release and will be making announcements about this in the coming months. At that time, we will make the product available for reviews and would like to the opportunity to be featured on CerebralHack.com at that time.

We look forward to connecting with you in the coming months.

Regards,
Emotiv Team

These excuses have been coming from emotiv for quite a long time.
There is no way I will be developing technology for them considering their licencing agenda.
I seriously think they are con artists and I will not be wasting $500 for rubbish.
Anyone who knows how much resources their are on the web , know that they could get a Brain Computer Interface working with simple equipment and a computer running Matlab and Simulink (EEG and E.cog aqcuisition data can be downloaded free)and with an electrode cap which is nowhere near $500. all epoch is , is a glorified plastic electrode cap , any kid could make one.

I do not take emotiv seriously, I find BCI research to be an open field and would not consider spending $500 on rubbish. Their licencing agreements are a laugh and I seriously think they a are fly by night outfit. BCI is open to all , juts takes some researching and a bit of initiative and someone could actually get some real results.
$500 to throw away , well , it wont be me.
